From Paradise8/Cocoa
Beginning February 1st, 2009, Canadian players will not be allowed to
register new accounts with any Rival powered casino. Existing Canadian
players will not be permitted to deposit in the casino from this point on, and will be ineligible for any bonuses.

Rival executives have made the decision to cease operations with Canadian
players because of a request from many of their suppliers located in Canada. For various reasons, these suppliers have asked Rival to sever ties with Canadian players and Rival has agreed.

February 28, 2009 at midnight EST will see all existing Canadian player accounts suspended indefinitely. Players have been urged to use the month of February to complete any wagering on active promotions and withdraw funds from their accounts. Any funds left in their account after February 28th, 2009 will not be cashable and the player will not be allowed to login to their account.

From SimonSays:
If you haven’t already heard the news, Rival has decided to no longer provide gambling services to Canadian Players, including players who are already signed up to the Casino. This was an internal decision made by the Executives and it will take effect as of February 1st, 2009.

All players will have until the end of March to withdraw any funds that are in their account, however, should a player be unable to do so they can email support after the stipulated timeframe to withdraw their funds for them.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

This is unreal...who and what are the "suppliers"? and how come Rival would let them dictate anything? This whole telling people you can or can't gamble is really getting on my nerves grrrrrrrrrrrrr

That is awful for the Canadians, Rival casinos are the only casinos I deposit at, and the only ones I ever will make deposits at, so I just hope that they don't start banning the USA. I would probably save a lot of money, but the money I spend is worth it to me, I really enjoy Slotocash, and its been worth every penny I have lost. Anyway I am sorry to all the Canadian Players.

I'm with you all the way on that one, Misty! Smile I wouldn't know what to do if the Rival deceides to ban the U.S., too because they are the only casinos I deposit at. Hopefully things will change for all of us (Canada and U.S.) soon. Sad
