Where i live, land-based casinos were legalized. So, a few years back i was going through a REALLY hard time in life. I had recently lost my job and was having no success at finding a new one. I was at the point where i was unable to make my rent payment, and was in danger of being evicted.

So, I was out "job hunting" one day, but after hours of looking for a job (unsuccessfully), i was really down. Well, i was near a local casino here. And, remembered they sent me a promotion in my mail just a few days ago offering $10 free play on their slots.

So, i said what the hell? It wont hurt to just go and play this "free money." So i get there and i was able to win a small amount. Got up to about $50 or so. And, after playing for a few hours i was a little tipsy from all of these "free drinks" i was ordering from the cocktail waitress. Not meaning to, i accidentally hit the "MAX BET" button on the slot machine and won a bonus round of free spins. And when it finished, the light started blinking on the machine with a message on the screen stating "Please See Slot Attendant For Handpay." I ended up winning $15,800! Needless to say, it was a GREAT day, and no longer had to worry about being evicted. 😀
